Over 60 injured in Strasbourg tram collision

According to authorities, the accident transpired when one tram, which had been halted, unexpectedly moved backward down a slope and collided with another stationary tram.

In response to the incident, a wide security perimeter was immediately established around the station, facilitating access for emergency personnel. The Bas-Rhin region's Fire and Rescue Service urged the public to steer clear of the area to ensure that first responders could operate unimpeded.
